We’ll Help You Protect Your Valuables
Spring is weeks away (at least here in North Texas). Along with it often comes an invitation or two to attend a wedding. While you’re watching loved ones exchange vows and rings, it’s a good time to make sure your own jewelry is protected. Here are a few tips:
Get Your Jewelry Appraised
Most jewelers can do this on site. Though they typically charge a fee, if you’re purchasing jewelry, this is often a free service for insurance purposes.
Work with Your Insurance Agent
Ask for a quote to cover your jewelry for the appraised value. Similar to car insurance, you may have options of a higher deductible to lower the price.
Ask About Multi Policy Discounts
Just like you receive a discount for insuring your home and autos together, some insurance companies add additional discounts the more policies that you have with them! Never hurts to ask!
Skip the Appraisal with Blanket Coverage
Ask your agent about “blanket jewelry coverage.” Some insurance companies will add blanket “all-risk” coverage for items valued less than $10,000 without requiring an appraisal. If you’d like to learn more about how we can help cover your jewelry or other important valuables, click here.
